🛍️Most e-commerce brands are sleeping on Pinterest – especially if your audience is women. With 60%+ of Pinterest users being female, the platform is a goldmine of opportunity that too many brands overlook. 💎
🤐 Most brands are fighting for attention on Google, Facebook, and Instagram. Yet, the growth is flat. There is no standout platform that can reliably bring consistent traffic and warm leads at a low cost.
💡 So while working with a female-centric brand I decided to dig deeper, looking for new traffic sources.
- I wanted something low-cost, sustainable, and powerful enough to attract my target customers.
- I decided to use my experience with a photography site using Pinterest SEO.
- Hence designed a strategy for the brand that worked wonders for the store.
♻️ Pinterest Strategy:
Pinterest is different.
It’s visual, and it’s evergreen – which means that content lives longer, and, when optimized right, brings in traffic for months or even years!
Create pins based on the pain points and interests of your ideal customer. Here’s how you can do it:
1️⃣ Created pins around top-searched topics in your category. Use Pinterest analytics to find topics.
2️⃣ Optimize Pins for SEO – write proper descriptions.
3️⃣ Linked each pin either to a product page or to a blog post that solves the customer’s pain point and naturally mentions your products.
4️⃣ Retargeted those visitors with Instagram ads for maximum conversion.
TDLR:
The funnel I discovered was simple and highly effective:
Pins ➡️ Blog Post/Product Page ➡️ Instagram Retargeting.
And it works.
Pinterest not only drives traffic, it drives warm traffic that’s already interested in your brand.
There is not only higher engagement but longer customer retention as well
✅ Pro Tip:
Don’t forget to create categorized Pinterest boards.
Each board should be highly specific to keep users engaged and pinning. Think of it like a mini blog where each pin delivers unique value. 🌱
If you’re into e-commerce and you’re not using Pinterest SEO to build an evergreen funnel, you’re missing out on untapped traffic and sales.
